Troon Chess Club was founded in 1976.
Troon is affiliated to Chess Scotland and has two teams playing in the Ayrshire League.
Office bearers are elected annualy. New office bearers for the 2006/07 season were elected at the AGM on 10/05/2006 and are as follows:
